Art I love

Terry Fan

Terry Fan is a Canadian based Artist living in Toronto. His work has a wonderful, childlike surreality to it and his whimsical, nostalgic imaginings combined with his accomplished skills as an artist make for edgy, modern and very covetable works of art. He uses a mix of traditional and modern digital techniques to create his art. 'The Curiosity', below, is my favourite. A reviewer of his work wrote that Fan 'explored the impossibilities we think possible as children'. Fan does not only make art works that are based on this idea; but these are the ones I like the most - and I hope to have one on my wall soon to remind me to keep the wonder and possibilities I had as a child alive in my life which is all too grown-up at times!

  1. Oh these are just magic Clare :) Love the giant bubble gum and old soul and the owl master. What a mind! I thought for a second that they were lithographs then I saw they were digital! Amazing. I love your last sentence, I agree wholeheartedly ;)
